Abstract
"Manual therapists such as physical therapists (PT) and occupational therapists (OT), working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting can experience pain that interferes with their ability to effectively do their jobs. Approximately seven percent of therapists working in outpatient rehabilitation reported that equipment and the environment contributed to work- related injuries in addition to performing manual therapy and computer/written documentation (Darragh et al., 2012). The purpose of this study is to learn about the cause and effect of work-related pain and injury in therapists who use manual techniques in order to help determine how occupational therapy services can prevent them from occurring."
