Abstract
"Dementia is considered a clinical syndrome that is characterized by a cognitive impairment that leads to a decrease in physical, functional abilities, and behavioral and psychiatric disturbances. There is currently no cure for dementia, only medications to subdue symptoms associated with the individual's specific type of dementia⁽¹⁾. Dementia can also be characterized as a progressive neurodegenerative brain disorder that can be caused by several conditions including, Alzheimer's disease (AD), Vascular dementia (VaD), Lewy body (DLB), Frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and Parkinson's disease dementia (PDD)⁽¹⁾."
