Abstract
"Dementia care excellence is dementia care practice recommendations that promote quality care practices based on a comprehensive review of current evidence, best practices recommendations, and expert opinion, to better define quality care across all care settings, and throughout the disease course. Dementia is a general term used to describe a progressive decline in memory and cognition that results in impaired independence of daily functioning. Dementia care is comprised of medical and social needs, which consistently change through various stages of the disease."
