Abstract
"This study aimed to identify student leaders’ understanding and perceptions of inclusive programming and the resources that the university uses to ensure that inclusive programming is occurring during event planning. Three semi-structured qualitative interviews were conducted, and participants were student leaders who have experience with campus event planning. Participants identified that there is an identified need for educational training on disability and inclusion for student leaders, as well as faculty and staff, as this is an area that is not addressed frequently enough to those who interact with individuals with disabilities. Student leaders will benefit from educational training on inclusive practices as well as the use of an inclusive programming manual during future event planning to create an accessible environment."
