Abstract
"Federal regulations require state transportation agencies to implement asset management performance measures. These are advantageous in guiding transportation infrastructure investments. Asset management is a strategic and systematic process of operating, maintaining, upgrading, and expanding physical assets with the objective of providing and enhancing a decision-making process based on quality information and well-defined objectives."
