Abstract
"According to Kazdin and Bootzin (1972), a benefit of employing tokens in applied settings is that they may bridge the gap between responding and delayed delivery of primary reinforcers. Avoiding delays to primary reinforcement is important, as delays have been shown in basic and applied literature to decrease responding compared to when reinforcement is delivered immediately."
