Abstract

"Many undergraduate students enter college with poor time-management. It is important to these students’ academic performance and mental health to develop effective time-management skills. Although many studies have investigated time-management skills in undergraduate students, measuring these skills directly is rare. We evaluated the effects of behavioral skills training on the direct use of time-management skills. We conducted two studies. In the first, we trained calendar skills. In the second, we trained managing and scheduling assignments. Our results indicate that BST increased the use of time-management skills in undergraduate students, but that these skills may not maintain over time."
