Abstract
"Parents have long been included in the treatment of their children with autism to teach and to facilitate the transfer of targeted skills. The degree to which parent involvement enhances child outcomes may depend on several factors, one of which is treatment integrity. Research has yet to elucidate environmental factors, such as treatment parameters in discrete-trial training (DTT) or child-mediated consequences, which may affect treatment integrity and treatment preference among parents as therapists."
