April 5, 2013 -- The Criminal Terrorist Prosecution
On April 5, 2013, Wadie Said, an Associate Professor of Law at the University of South Carolina School of Law, and author of the forthcoming monograph "The Criminal Terrorist Prosecution" was a Clason speaker at Western New England University School of Law. He explored the phenomenon of the modern terrorist prosecution. Noting its evolution over time, especially since the September 11, 2001 attacks, Said focused on the ways federal courts have shifted the law in favor of prosecution, creating a kind of terrorist exception to the normal rules of criminal prosecution.
